Description

Black Horn Comb Regular is our classic and very popular horn comb, which is light and pleasant to use.

The designer about the product:
The Black Horn Comb Regular is part of the section of our collection made from almost completely black horn. Many mistakenly believe it is made of plastic. But it is neither plastic nor defective – it’s simply black. That means the colour is almost entirely black, though there may be subtle natural colour variations in the horn.

Product facts
All items are produced in Hornvarefabrikken’s workshops using the methods and proud traditions on which our entire production is based.

PLEASE NOTE:
Horn is not flat – it is round, curved, and twisted. When we make a flat piece of horn, we use heat to change its natural shape. When horn is exposed to heat – e.g. sunlight, drying, or even room temperature – it may begin to return to its original form. This means it can begin to bend and curve slightly.

About 10% of our flattened horn products regain a natural, slight curve within a year. This is a natural process that does not affect the product’s functionality. It is not a flaw, but one of the material’s natural quirks – and proof that you are dealing with a genuine, living material.
